Lua will be available soon so question is where to put lua script files? Doing a new project?

Links to resources in wiki would be enough IMHO.

The best way would be to create a custom plugin for Redmine like they have at http://www.redmine.org/plugins

For now we could use single top level page as a list and each subpage would be a lua script. See what I mean: Lua script repository

This wiki has version history support and we could install a lua highlighter. That way users could submit their scripts without having to have write access to our git repo.

What do you think?

I’m more thinking about to set up a new ETL git hub /redmine project. There are web editors too and in total we have more options for scripts development.

I’ve attached a test script to Lua script repository

It would be safer to keep lua scripts on github. The disadvantage is that we would have to grant permissions to anyone who would like to contribute. If we kept those scripts inside Redmine it would be much easier for people to submit and update their scripts.

On GitHub. No need to grant permission to everybody, the contributors could simply make pull requests, and the script would be accepted if good enough. I also believe this would encourage people to improve existing scripts.

Yes, the best thing to do will be to create a submodule in our git repository.
