omni-bot support for game ?

Should we add omni-bot to mod code of etl?

- I can imagine an installer version 2 which sets up a ready to go listen server with bots.
- better options to test basic etl

Just some questions it is gonna make a day easier for devs thats are involved into omni-bot modding?
What about omni-bot updates and sctipts

Hi IR4T4,

I think, that would be great, if you combine ET:L with Omni-bot!

IR4T4 has to answer that since he is the guy who added omni-bots and I know nothing about them. However, I don’t think we have any plans to extend omni-bots and we will just try to sync the omni-bot code with the upstream development.

He already did. You can try them out in the next testing release.

I don’t think it’ll make the day easier for omnibot devs but ETL devs profit when they want to check things quickly. I did add the bots because we are some steps away from creating a full installer for ETL.
This installer might also add the required files for the bots so users have a 'one click’ install with bot support. This is our 'single player’ ETL - you don’t need an internet connection to play some maps and a set up for LAN games etc is done in some minutes. ET needs new blood ...

New blood would be allowing us to enter a venhicles and use them but I am not sure if you can push ET code so far

PS: And some sort of voice chat that would be cool

Controllable movers would be only possible by breaking comaptibility (more or less) or/and writing some ClientVM Code. (the question is would it be reasonable to do this in terms of having the good 'ol ET spirit )

(for my personal choice igm voicechat is not so much of use in times where everyone got a mumble/ts/ventrilo & co many ppls. would disable it netherless... Buf if you insist the TS3 SDK is released for integration into apps/games as far as I know)
