Splatterladder - some ideas

Added by schnoog about 6 years ago

Hi folks,

I`m schnoog, maybe you know me, maybe not
(I`m the hoster of splatterladder and wolffiles (beside etkey.org and et-install.com)

I want to help ETL to reach as much people as possible, and thats why I`m try to investigate how I can do this.
My idea is to start a flash offensive @ all my sides to introduce ETL to the community

As a first stage I`m thinking about some introduction into ETL, the project targets, the team behind and some other facts.
(maybe an interview, a report from you or something like that)

At a second stage I`m thinking about adding ETL to the available testserver @ wolffiles

But I`m still searching for ideas how I can support this project.

Would be great to hear your ideas.

Cheers
Schnoog

Hey Schnoog,

nice to see you here. Some more attention to the ET: Legacy project can’t hurt, even if the legacy mod isn’t what players are used to play atm in any other mod. Not sure if it isn’t to early to show it to the masses, some might be disapointed and don’t see the real potential in it.

Definitively too early imho. Looking at the current roadmap, the actual focus is to remove bugs, clean code in the engine and the vanilla mod and prepare the necessary foundation work (2.71rc1, 2.71) before building on top. Apart from some very useful features (team restriction, LUA support, ..) the ET:L mod looks currently more like a clean vanilla 'etmain’ than something new or really appealing to the average player.

I’d wait that the development focuses on the ET:L mod before presenting it to a large public.

I hope it will always look like this.

And I definitely hope the same too.
By "new", I wasn’t thinking about 'new gameplay’ or 'totally different feeling’
