Description

How to reproduce with covert ops:
1. Shoot with Sten until it overheats
2. Press 2 to change into pistol
3. It will make the sound of removing the silencer

How to reprduce with engineer:
1. Take grenade and start "ticking" it
2. Press 3 multiple times
3. It will make the sound of inserting grenade into K43

When it occurs?:

- After throwing a smokegrenade
- After trying to swap from an overheated Sten
- After throwing the last grenade
- After detonating a Satchel charge
- After throwing a dynamite
- After spawning
- While ticking grenade
- While grenade throw animation is finishing
- While moving forward in prone
- Right after shooting a bullet

EDIT: This issue isn’t only about the sound but the actual weapalt switch happens during these events.

I gave this another go and I noticed that after these following actions make the silencer removal sound when '2’ is being pressed multiple times:

- After throwing a smokegrenade
- After trying to swap from an overheated Sten
- After throwing the last grenade
- After detonating a Satchel charge

How to reproduce:

Do one of the following actions above and start pressing 2 multiple times to switch into a single pistol as a covert op.

Reopening. This seems to considerable slow down every weapon change, for fixing a single bug about overheating weapon sound.

Alright, I updated this ticket a bit and it seems the issue is all about animations not finishing or events not finishing.

Tiny update here!

It seems that the weapalt switch is being allowed during the instances like in the description, which is rather obvious. But when reloading, weapalt switch isn’t possible.

I have changed the title to be more precise so it would describe the issue more. I also want to inform that the sound itself isn’t bugged. The sound is just matching the AltWeapon’s actual switch animation, and this whole AltWeapon switch shouldn’t even be ever happening.

The thing here is that when shooting or ticking grenade, you are able to do AltWeaponm switch, which actually shouldn’t be possible. You can hear the sound, but you will never see the AltWeapon switch animation because it is busy doing the other events.

if it shouldnt happend, cant you just some way stop it from happend.. make a check that it has done what it is doing before you are allowed to altWeapon?

Alright. I have already done some test tries and it looks like I am doing progress. I already fixed some cases, where you were even able to switch weapon while being "dead".
I’ll update the situation once I have made further fixes.
