Class selecting by using commands
I’m not certain should this be a feature request or a bug report. But I report this as a bug because the issue is the following.
How this should work: <class> <primary> <secondary>
But in fact it doesn’t work as intended?
Currently I’m able to choose class and all the classes are like this:
- 0 = soldier
- 1 = medic
- 2 = engineer
- 3 = field op
- 4 = covert op
And primary weapons work by taking them by their number, as soldier 1 = MP40/Thompson; 2 = Panzerfaust/Bazooka...
Anyway the secondary, I thought it would work the same as primary 1 for single pistol and 2 for akimbo, but it wasn’t like that. The values for akimbo are totally unknown.
What I would like to see is this for example: team r 1 1 1 - This would be for Axis medic with MP40 and single Luger and with the same way 1 1 2 would be MP40 and akimbo Lugers.
I didn’t find these document the same way as on NQ forums, where these are used for Lua.
fixed the client side class command and added support for class selection with numbers, fixes #700

Saukko> are you sure the primary weapon selection is working correctly? I can’t make it work.
Secondary selection is actually hardcoded (CG_Class_f), so we’ll have to implement it.
Edit: Letters for class selection (s, m, e, f, c) are supposed to work too, but it doesn’t seem to be the case.

Saukko just so you know, the "class" command was created to handle the weapon and class selection. The team command is a server side command which is a rather bad one for class scripting.
class m ⇒ medic with default primary and secondary.
class m 1 1 ⇒ medic with slot 1 weapon (smg) and a single pistol as secondary.
