How will this change improve gameplay/player experience?

In my personal opinion it isn’t worth implementing as it:
1. Doesn’t change much in the gameplay (and reserves additional cvar(s)).
2. Was never part of W:ET.
3. Isn’t welcomed by "pro" community.

1. It does, dunno about RTCW, but on NQ you could kick nades and kick is sometime only way to damage enemy for example when you reload
2. Part of NQ mod
3. ETL is supposed to be for competitive and also public mod

NQ isn’t W:ET, and Legacy certainly doesn’t aim to become another NQ.

This has been discussed already a few times, but one thing we’d like to avoid is having a mod with dozen of optional features so you’d have a very different gameplay on all servers. Legacy mod aims to provide a gameply that stays close to the original gameplay.

Overall, I feel people only need an update to NQ. Or that could be done in a Legacy mod fork by a team that has resources to focus on these fun features.

In a way this controversial issue is obsolete in my eyes or at least we shouldn’t forget admins are already able to fully change the game by Lua & scripts ...

This is a slippery sloap. If you add this then we will next add double jumping "because we already have feature x". I am still against any of "public only" random features, because then I wont know what sort of experience I am getting from a server even tho it is a legacy server. This kick stuff is really mild modification, its just that it is totally useless and as such random feature.

If someone want’s random 'fun’ stuff in ET then there’s NQ/Silent/Nitmod etc etc, but this is just my opinion..
